Practice Assistant

Do you have a talent for administration, teamwork and dealing with people? If so, this role is for you!

We are looking for a happy, smiley and cheerful employee, with a good sense of humour who can be sympathetic and compassionate when required to join our team as a practice assistant.

The successful candidate will undergo a thorough in-house training programme to enable them to undertake medical administration involved with running Consultant practices.

This is a fast-paced environment where you will deal with a constant flow of enquiries from patients, hospitals and consultants over the telephone as we are a remote service. This role focuses on efficient and accurate admin duties which include making appointments, proof reading letters, ensuring results are available for clinics, booking operations and raising invoices.

This means that communication is key and due to the nature of the role you will need to swap between different IT systems, phone calls and tasks remaining focused at all times.

Essential requirements:

  • Taking ownership of tasks and ability to prioritise
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines, work under pressure but always remaining calm
  • Have exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Always work with tact and discretion, maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Have a proven commitment in previous employment

37.5 hours per week. Office hours are 8am – 6pm so you will be expected to work your hours between those times.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £18,000.00 to £20,000.00 /year

COVID-19 considerations
During Covid-19, initial training will be done in the KMS offices in East Farleigh. Once trained, the successful candidate would temporarily be working in rotation between the office and remotely from home.
